Official Definition

Parental Advisory is a warning message affixed by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to musical albums records containing what the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) saw as explicit content in the United States. Many record stores refuse to sell albums containing the label (most notably Wal-Mart), and others limit the sale of such albums to minors. To some, it has become known as the "Tipper sticker" because of Tipper Gore's involvement in the PMRC.

As you may read here and all over the web, the true meaning of the P.A. label is very versatile and has been changing drastically over the years.  Back when Muddy Watters was making music, before the formation of the RIAA and Clear Channel, who now has full control as to what the public is able to listen too, I'm positive that his music would either be banned or that you would have to be a certain age before you purchased his art.  The same goes for such artists as, 'Bob Marley', 'Miles Davis', 'The Doors' and even, 'The Beatles', who spoke greatly about slavery, society, even though profanity wasn't a part of there writing

I myself have never been turned down for buying one of these albums but still agree it is important to warn parents about what type of music they allow there children too listen too .  For instance, when groups such as, 'Public Enemy', 'Onyx',  'Dayglo Abortions', 'Cyprus Hill', 'Wu-Tang Clan', 'Nirvana', 'Dead Kennedy's', 'The Gravediggaz', 'Sex Pistols ' and so on...I wouldn't want a child under fourteen to be exposed to this type of music, only because they wouldn't understand the meaning behind songs that can easily be interpreted as violent or negative.  All who where and still are great influences of mine, didn't end up turning me into a criminal, activist or even a reckless child.  I truly believe that if I wasn't able to listen to such reality driven music, I wouldn't be anywhere near as intelligent of the artist  I am today.  They show you how life really is after you open the curtains that were placed in front of our eyes and spoke to us through headphones.  I would have a very difficult time controlling the confusion that plagued my life and still does until I listen to some, 'Ten Years After', 'Hendrix', 'System of the Down', 'Dead Prez', 'Rage Against the Machine' and many other political groups, that life wouldn't be anywhere near the same and I probably wouldn't have been inspired to created my own music that does more then any pill or therapist could ever do for my psyche and pain.

At times, many of my songs are metaphors for how I think, learned over time, observed and analyzed, what did and what's still going on around us, stuff I was not taught in school but absorbed through other peoples art.  With only my high school diploma, I continued my education by studding other great artists and writers, some banned from the public but over the years have been made accessible as the government has lost most of its control over what the public is constantly craving, a reasoning to the brutality of society.  The constant thoughts of how we can make a change if there are enough people educated and influenced out of school, listening and absorbing art, such as, 'Da Vinci', who was more concerned with science and politics, then awing the crowd with his ability to create such realistic paintings.   Every stroke of his brush, he took advantage to further peoples opinions, never making it too obvious or they would most likely have thrown him in jail and burned his amazing creations.

I can't say for sure but my belief's of reincarnation are strong and I do believe that we are not always re-born into new bodies all the time but mostly become spirits or guides who are peoples protégés entering this always, savage world.  There was a boy in Africa, whom when he was able to speak, spoke of his real name and where his real family was, even though he came out of a different  mothers womb.  His parents believed him enough to seek out these people who he said to be his real parents and without him or them meeting in advance, the second he laid eyes on what he said to be his real mother, she too noticed that his eyes looked exactly like her son who died an early death a year beforehand.  He knew all of his family's names, knew the location of the home he grew up in and how it looked.  At the age of seven all these memories became suppressed and he began his new life, with his new name and his new parents.  The two families became great friends and even though he now forgot all he knew about who he used to be, it was concrete proof that before the age of seven, children do remember who they where and what they learned in there past life, the same reason why many children come up with different names for themselves, as they learn to speak.  The reason why I speak of this story, is because a lot of my songs are about the act of leaving your body, floating, reincarnation and death, giving people the illusion that my music is negative when it is much more of a positive nature, energy and what unfortunately drives people mad because of there religious backing.

I am in no way against any religion and strongly believe that it is very important to keep an open mind, rather then take sides and never involve yourself in any one of the many wars that have happened in the past and the even more that are currently taking place in today's world.  There are too many lies and deception to commit yourself to any religion that believes violence will solve anything or working toward the extinction of another religion or color to the next will in any way solve the battle between the middle, high and lower class societies who have existed from the beginning of mankind as we know it.

In many of my songs over the last ten years, I have cursed but only when I feel the need to underline or be bold with what I'm saying, not to be rebellious or even a counter culture rebel, the category I believe I fall into, more then anything.  I want peace but also understand war, this isn't something we as humans are new too and has been going on for years and will continue too control everyone's way of life as we know it, no matter how much we try to stop the violence or bring troops back.

The reason why I slap a Parental Advisory on my site and CD's is because I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression when they listen to my spoken word and music.  I can only hope that they or you don't get the wrong impression about things I say and understand that even though at times, I might sound like a negative individual, all I want is to let others know that there are people out there who have similar thoughts as they might have and that there are many reasons to live, even though death at times can be as tempting as a drug, controlling your every day life.  Everyone has his or her purpose and we will never know when that time comes, so don't wait or take the easy way out.  Live, breath and learn. Maybe you too will find yourself one day, appreciate the time you have alone and no matter what your diagnosed with, if anything at all, it is in no way a means to an end, only a new beginning.
